Electronic Recycling

The management of electronic waste (e-waste) is increasingly becoming a major factor in preserving our environment. For years, computers, televisions and other electronics have been dumped in landfills, and now the toxins emitted from the materials utilized to manufacture these products are harming our soil and water. The Federal government has been working to develop legislation addressing this problem, but has yet to enact a law. Consequently, states and regions within states have stepped up and created their own laws. The legislation can be complicated, especially if your organization has multiple locations nationally. Nextend is fully committed to recycling measures compliant to legislation, and responsible practices to ensure environmental conservation.

All items recycled by Nextend are dismantled onsite and broken down to their inert materials. The materials are then sent downstream to be melted down for reuse in future manufacturing runs. Any hazardous waste, such as glass containing lead, is processed by carefully evaluated industry partners to ensure proper handling. No item leaving Nextend’s facility ends up in a landfill.

Nextend believes in the Basel Action Network’s (BAN) Electronic Recycler’s Pledge of True Stewardship and is currently pursuing e-Stewards® Certification, ensuring all items are disposed of in the safest manner possible – never left in a landfill to release toxins into the environment and never exported overseas.

Nextend’s Recycle programs alleviate the stress of electronic asset removal by going above and beyond standard security to meet and exceed current data security and environmental regulations. The ultimate goal is to secure your data and protect the environment.
